2.8 breather pipe

so today I finally got round to fitting the new valve cover gaskets, but as i was moving the breather pipe that goes across the engine it broke, well it actually just disintegrated as the plastic pipe has gone so brittle. it was also full of gunk

so I've replaced it with rubber hose, but does anyone have an idea how much audi going to want to replace this pipe ? or should I just stick with the rubber hose
