Headlight conversion on '96 Avant

As in topic how hard is it going to be to change my headlights to the later one piece style on my '96 A4 Avant. Please I need links on step by step guide on the conversion.

Also, how do I know if I have remote cenral locking? The only key I got with the car 9 months ago has only a big button in the middle and its got one battery and an led but no light shows on it when I press the button.
The car has SE trim with climate control, immobilizer, factory alarm, e/w , e/m. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you haven't got remote locking.... just the one with key torch, if it's a non flip key that is. I know it sounds obvious but you'll know when you press the button if the car unlocks. Change the battery in the key and try it again if you think it's just a knackered remote control
