Avant Speaker issue

Hi All

I have a 1999 B5 Avant the passenger side rear speaker has no sound from it, How do i know if my car should be fitted with an AMP/Sub or if feed directly from the Head unit, also how do i removed the rear door card to get at the speaker

The rears are powered by the amp at the back.

You need to remove the screw holding the rear handle inside cover, which will show you two other screws, remove them.
if you have rear wipers remove the handles.
Remove the 2 little screws at either end of the door card at the top.
the hole unit should lift up and away.

Left hand access panel.
There is a big black box, its at the top of that.
You need to strip down the back to get to it.
