B5 quattro rear cv boot change

I need to do one of these whilst doing the shocks on the rear i have boot that's holed, what's the best way to get the shaft out please??

Easiest way is to drop the rear arm undo the 6 spline bolts and the one on the hub then push the hub outwards and pull the full shaft n/s is alot easier than the o/s as i found when replacing the rear diff seals, it makes it easier on the n/s if you drop the exhaust heres a pic to give you a better understanding of what i mean

You can also undo the top bolt on the upright, and swing it forward for clearance, rather than undoing the lower arm!
