How do I acces the drain plug on the windscreen washer reservoir? Is it a case of removing the front left wheel and undoing the wheel arch panels? she's a 99 a4 1.8t sport.

Cheers

There isn't one. Best thing to do would br to siphon it out with a length of pipe I guess. Most antifreeze says to wipe off if you get it on paint work so don't be tempted to just run it through the system

Can you not disconnect the hose at the t-juntion before the jet and stick it into a bottle.

Operate the pump to empty (bearing in mind it was not designed to run for hours on end without burning out)

Also remember to keep the screen wet so you don't ****** the rubbers

Cheers chaps, nipped to the local motosave and bought a cheeky siphon gadget for a couple of pund. siphoned all the antifreeze out and rinsed with water and then replaced with proper washer fluid. upped the concentration to overpower and remaining antifreeze. that alone constitutes a successful thursday in my books..
