Hi has anyone got any instructions on how to pressure test the turbo system on 1.8T?
Think I may add this to my service routine just to check for leaks etc.

I have access to an airline so would just need the appropriate equipment.

I made my own and used a 19 mm wheel nut to blank off the pancake pipe hole my tester consisted off a cap to blank off the extractor ducts at work (shhhh) and a tyre valve pulled through and my boost gauge also pops out and can disconnect it and reconnect to the manifold so i can keep an eye on pressure in the bay whilst charging the system with a tyre gauge.

heres mine -

Do you have any pics of where you link that up on the engine and where you blank off?

Also what size do we need? I see kits on ebay for sale to test.

Well mine fits straight on to the maf which is 2.75" as no airbox on my car which was a miracle finding something the exact size at my works lol where you blank it off is on the TIP where the plastic hockey puck valve is and take off the oil filler cap thats it just dont go past 15-20psi you only want it in the boost level range of our cars so 15 should be more than enough unless your running higher boost id go slightly past that.
