Is it the shocks, springs or something else?

Ever since I had all the arms replaced couple moths back I have noticed what I can only describe as a 'dive' under braking.

Like it wants to leave the road.

Also a quick left right of the steering feels like it's on elastic.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Can't see a damaged spring causing the car to dive when braking. It's not uncommon for the front springs to break (losing an inch or so from the end). Raise the car up and have a proper look. When you replaced the upper control arms, was everything else ok? Any signs of a leaking shock?

Does the car pull to the side when you brake. Another possible is a seized or sticky brake caliper. Easy to rule out. Drive for 10 miles or so and coast to a stop. If the disc is hot to touch, then you've found the problem. Also double check tyre pressures and tread for uneven wear.
