hi can anyone tell me if there is somebody out there who can chipp a early a4 because i tried to get a revro chipp installed and was told that the ecu would not support flash technology.can anyone help?I also see on the giac, and the awe, website in america that they only start chipping cars from 1997 onwards? is my car too early to modify?

I have a 96 the same as you. My car is Superchipped. Been very happy with the performance. Jabbasport and AMD can also chip your car.

I had the same problem with Revo technology (early ECU), you need to have the physical chipped changed and remapped. As MadKebab says - I had mine done at Jabba

Yes thanks Matey.... It was the ECU that went pop.... The garage owner (bless him) stumped up the bill for the new ECU (aprox 1300) and even paid to have the Jabba chip put back in the car.... Top marks to that guy Got same performance (as expected really)

I just paid for the original work (Brake pads, water pump, stat and belts)....

He has a bit more back off me as well as I had a knocking coming from underneath and it turned out to be the ARB drop links ('C' shaped link) - one was Knac'd and the other one was on it's way (no movement but a rubber starting to perish), so I had them both done at the same time (only 20 each plus 1.25 hours labour).......
