I'm looking to clear out the Air Con drain on the Avant in the next couple of days (wet carpet, smelly, plenums fine).

Does anybody have pics of where it is from underneath? I've found a couple of write-ups, but they talk about going from inside.

I'm hoping to poke about from underneath, but as my cars are so mud-filled, I probably wont see the outlet!

I can see this turning into a Wile E Coyote hose type moment!!

the drain comes out behind the heat shields up the side of the transmission tunnel. id bob the center console out, much easier and a nicer job than crawling about under the car imo.

Thanks,

I was hoping to avoid taking out the carpet, but I have just found a hole in the passenger floorpan where a rock has punched through.

MOT tomorrow, so I'll be uprooting the carpet for welding :sadlike:

For Info

If you take out the glove box and lower side trim, remove the door sill trim, peel back the carpet and you can just get to the drain in the footwell without having to take out the console.

Remove the 8mm head screw holding the plastic drain and move it out of the way

A bit of rod pokes it through no problem.

(Was also enough for welding the floor )
