hazard warning lamp switch lit always

Hi there. Can i ask you for something? I have a Audi A4 B5 1999. The hazard warning switch is always lit even in dont working car and even in locked car. When i press the button the warning lights and lamps work correctly, but when i press again the switch and turn off the lamps, the button still lit non stop and never dim. Is this normal and from where can be this problem? Thanks! Excuse me for my bad english.

do you have any current drain/battery going flat problems? if not i wouldn't worry too much.

yep, i found the battery flatten twice and now i disconnect one coupling under the steering wheel and the switch dont lit, but also door mirrors stop to work end dont fold.
