Just been to a Audi dealer not far from where I was working (not my local one) so I called in for some engine oil to top up. After waiting for sometime the parts guy asked me "what oil I wanted", I told him " the correct oil for my car" which he then said " it's up to you what oil you put in it".
Now surely after giving him my reg, car model etc he can get it off the screen???
Looking through some receipts of the car I came across this part number for oil
ZGB 115 QLB 00 51 B4D QPLATI5

Now I know this is engine oil as 6 litres were bought everytime a service was carried out. Looking on Google it's 5w40 FS.
Is this correct for my 1998 S4 2.7 T??

Andy

Any high quality 5/40 FS oil will be good (gulf competition, millers, fuchs etc). Check out opie oils, they seem to do some great deals.

Agreed!

The audi stuff mentioned above is fairly good in terms of value though and meets all the appropriate specs.

Well I bought a 5ltr one as they don't do the 1ltrs anymore. I was told it was £29 + VAT but then showed a receipt from 2 month ago for £25 so he just honoured that.
Engine sounds much better with oil in LOL
