I recently shelled out for a mates garage to sort the clunking coming from the n/s/f of my A4. I stated at the time, as always, that if it needs bits call me and only fit Lemforder or Meyle. The bill was low but I thought he felt bad as I've sent the car in 4 times for the same fault. A couple of weeks have passed and the vague steering and clonking are back with avengence. Not happy and it's a mystery why both the uppers weren't changed at the same time as I would have thought that to be good practice.

Jacked the car up and this is the new arm. Can anybody identify it as it doesn't look like an OE Lemforder or Meyle item, part number seems to be "680 A911"

Anybody able to identify what has been fitted?

well its not a genuine arm.
it is good practice to replace both upper arms cus usually the top bolt is seized in and the amounts of tw4tting with a hammer is required to get them out.... its never good for ball joint on the surviving arm. in most cases, causes it to fail not long after!
