Warning light

Hi,

A friend in his A4 has just had a warning light come up in his 1.9tdi.

Its a red circle with an arrow going through it. He doesnt have a manual, so has asked me.
Unfortunatly, this is the only info about it i hav so please forgive me for being vague.

Any thoughts on what it could be?

Can you take a picture? If not can you explain when it happens - when he starts up, when driving for a while etc etc.

Solved!.... the description he gave me was wrong.

Was a triangle with the circular arrow going around it. ... Traction Control.
