My 1996 A4 1.8T Sport has lost a huge amount of power. I've had the gaskets on the turbo changed but this has not made a difference. Any ideas?

Could be an air leak in the pressure side of the system of a ******** turbo...
Probably a multitude of other things bit who knows.

check the cat...
if in doubt get a decat pipe
they are prone to twisting in the pipe and blocking

take it out and try and look through it, with a light the other end....
its 6 bolts and about an hour or so to do.
if you would like us to do it, please call for a booking... I will be more than happy to show you... if its not that then we can pop it on the diagnostic scanner and see if there is anything else wrong
