some w@nker has pulled the sensor wire out of the loom so that only the ABS wire is left.
Can I bridge this elsewhere to get rid of the ****** light?

I didnt have a chance to look properly but where does the front ABS/Pad sensor plug in on the inboard side?
engine bay or am I missing something in the wheel arch?

Pop the ABS wire grommet out of the wheel arch, and pull the loom thru into the wheel arch.

There should be a plug for the ABS wire, and next to it the plug for the pad sensors.

Worst case you can short it to ground at the back of the clocks.

Having said that, do you have digital or analog clocks? Your earlier post about the CTS suggested it was pre-2000, meaning analog clocks?

If its analog then you can code it out rather than have to short it out.

analog pre 2000

how do I code it out?

cheers

If youve got vagcom just remove the option in the soft coding for instrument cluster

sorted it with some heavy duty googling

cheers
b@stard is out now, can go and MOT it!

both my wires had "corroded" out of the pad (the pad's ain't even 1/2 worn) so unplugged it and joined them, then re-plugged it all together :D
