audi a4 1.8 t 1996, think turbo is stalling in 3rd

got an audi a4 1.8t, had a remap, fitted a new K&amp;N filter, it goes like a good one, only car to come near it off the lights was a renault clio williams thing, but it lost, and sounded like a nagging little dog hitting the rev limiter, behind me,<br>my problem with every day day driving is under normal load, not hard acceleration, I hit a misfire at around 2k revs every gear except 5th, and sometimes under heavy acceleration I go from first to second, hit 58mph go into third and it feels like the turbo has stalled and a lack of power, then put it in fourth and id goes like a rocket again??? any ideas please? engine is only 4 years old 30k miles covered.

Possibly fouled plugs or MAF sensor. Have you done a scan with VAG-Com?

Proper Williams Clio should have eaten you alive, must have been driven by an idiot.

sounds like a gash remap to me!
I would lose the K&N as well, youmay get away with it but you may be looking at a new MAF soon which could also be the cause of misfire issues
