i just want to turn off service light and find out why my car just cuts out i been told to get the memoscan as it tells you the fault code and what it means and does other things please can you help asap as i need to buy one thanx dan

You need the U280 as the U281 is for can vehicles 2004 onwards.

I now have vagcom on my laptop aswell but this still comes in handy as it lives in the glovebox lol

Yeah to buttons enter and erase, it turns on when ignition on when you plug it in first is engine (most common one you will use) so you just press enter about four times and that will scan it if you want to scroll to erase,esc or air bag you just Use the erase button as the scroll button dont no why it has erase printed as you just use the other one to do it lol
