As above, my belt is squeeling and is in poor condition so going to replace both belt and tensioner.
Looking at the job (S4 B5 2.7) it looks like bumper, lights, slam panel to be removed and rads pulled forward. Is this correct?

When I did my belt I just put it in service mode didnt bother removing lights ect just removed bumper and pulled everything else forward, look in the technical how to post in this section, I think there's a guide in there.

Bumper off.
Unbolt bumper shocks and replace one bolt each side with a long piece of M8 threaded bar (~12" each side).
Unbolt top corners of from panel and then pull the entire front panel forward.

You'll only get about 6 inches, but its enough to get into the belt and do the required.

Don't know about yours, but on the tdi it pays to replace the pulley on the
alternator at the same time.
They have a tendancy to give trouble on the vag tdi engines
