Mines the same and has been repaired with glue and it's not air tight though but at £75 iirc I left it how it was as I will be installing a catch can at some point.
You dont NEED to fix it, but if you intend on leaving it like that, remove the hose from the other side and block it off so your not drawing in unmetered air.
Leave the bit thats currently broken open to the atmosphere so the tank can breathe.
