will de-cats of a s4/rs4 fit the a6 2.7t?

Yes, but you might need to modify the link pipes between the downpipe and the rest of the system.

so its mainly just the join to the turbo thats the same?

i know im going to sound stupid here, but is it possible to make an s4 exhaust fit an a6, just by extending it, or is it completly different, i only ask, as for a decent one for my car, its nearly £1k, but for an s6, its half that?

S4 floorpan is fairly different.

Should be able to mate an S6 system up to the S4 downpipes/cats without too much work though.

RS6 system would probably fit too, but you'd likely need to modify the rear bumper.

as for bumper, i got an s6 bumper with the cut outs sat in my shed waiting to be sprayed

TBH with decats and the big bore RS6 system its not going to sound shabby!

I guess it depends how loud you want it.

Theres a big difference between a tasteful burble, and saxo-chav levels of ear bleeding exhaust noise.
