Few cosmetic changes

So while my cars been off the road I've decided to make a few little changes that I wasn't happy with after the repaint that I've wanted to sort for some time. The front bumper is having the number plate recess removed and smoothed over and the same with the headlight washers covers, I'm spraying the roof black and getting rid of the rust bubble in the front wing.

Also treated myself to some new wheels that should be with me tomorrow, Audi/BBS splits....excited!!

Why you removing the washer holes?
Swap the bumper with someone that wants washer holes?

I need the ns washer cover, also have a front bumper without, and that wing you need, you can have the both for £25

I've got a reiger RS4 front bumper but don't like the number plate recess and washer covers, my car doesn't have headlight washers anyway, just the covers so I'm going to get rid and smooth them over. I won't be replacing the wing as I'll have to remove the S4 skirt which has been sealed onto the front wings as I've deleted the lower door/wing mouldings, gonna respray the wing instead, lot less hassle and it's only a tiny rust bubble...easily done.

Thats with a 25mm spacer, only a 15mm on the front

Wheels make a massive difference, are you keeping them silver?

I personally think the black roof thing has been done to death now, preffered the car all white mate but it is yours at the end of the day, did you paint or wrap it?

Yeah I had the same thoughts when I resprayed the car from black to white but for some reason I fancied a change. I like it, it makes the car look lower and wider. Yeah it's sprayed, I work in my dads bodyshop so I do it all myself

I love the wheels although they don't look like 18's, look smaller than the black ones I think. Undecided on colour yet, was thinking about splitting them and painting the centres something a bit different, considering GT3 RS blue...like a pastil blue. Think that'll go nice with the white and black

No problem dude, I would have only chucked them so glad they can be of use! Yeah I'll keep the lips as they are, just spray the centres

Yep, painting the centres and keeping the polished lips will help the look of the size of the wheel.

Blue sounds interesting, try get a Photoshop of it knocked up to see how it looks first with a few other colours.

Keep the pics coming thou, i like your motor, never saw a lot of it before. How did the engine situation turn out, did you get something sorted in the end?

Yep, painting the centres and keeping the polished lips will help the look of the size of the wheel.

Cant do photoshop....far to technical for me!! Was also thinking of a nice bright solid red...think blue is winning so far

Yeah engine is all sorted now although I havn't had a drive out yet as its off the road for the month, runs fine though no dodgy sounds or rattling, infact it sounds better now than it did before!! Can't wait to get back out in it, been 5 weeks now!! Not good!

By the way, it was the oil cooler that caused the problems

I love those wheels, and i really like the gold effect photoshop too!

As for colored wheels, i took my inspiration from these:





It works, but it does need other splashes of the detail color elsewhere on the car to tie it in.

I did my mirrors orange, and plan to do the grille surround orange too once i pull my finger out and get some vinyl wrap.

Yeah I quite like the gold too, the GT3 RS blue is what I originally planned so think I'm gonna stick with that. I was thinking about other parts being detailed the same colour too, not sure on mirror covers as there a pain to strip out and I'll probably end up breaking the glass whilst doing so. Audi 4 rings badge in the grill is all I can think of and maybe some blue sign writing

As much as i dont like the look of rep RS4 bumpers, this is looking really good mate, finished up nicely!

The black and white works well, and i think the smoothing has made the bumper a lot cleaner/neater than it normally does! White rings look nice aswell! Whens the wheels getting done??? Need more pics!!!

Cheers dude, the front looks loads better now and I'm really pleased with outcome. Wheels will hopefully be done in a few weeks, need to split them, spray them, change the tyres as I don't like the size of them, get some 25mm spacers for the rears then put them on! Already got spacers for the front. That's gonna change the look a lot

Any pics I take they go straight up on here anyway, there doesn't seem to be that much bodywork modding input on here so I like to be the one that puts it in!!
