    Exhaust manifolds(2.8) design???

Does anybody have any experience with or know of anybody who has changed/upgraded the manifolds on the 2.8?

I already have a custom s/s exh which is fine, but this year is hopefully supercharger year for Project RS28 and i recieved a pair of equal length downpipes to fit with the charger. I may have the current system fitted adapted to work with these, or i may look into the S4 ToyoSports system, or go for a complete new custom system to my own spec!

Seeing as im doing all that, im thinking of going the whole hog and having custom manifolds done aswell, if it will be beneficial in any way with the SC.

Im looking to find out how well designed the oem Audi manifolds are and if there is much room for improvement that will make it worth having custom units done at the same time as all the other exhaust modification.

The last time i priced work for a single manifold it was around the £500 region, so i imagine a pair for a V6 wont show me much change from £800-1000 and need to know if its a vast improvement on the Audi parts to be worth that kinda dollar!

Oh, and i mean PROPER manifolds, tubular equal length s/s jobbies, no Powerflow tin pipes or the like.

It wont be a vast improvement, but there are gains to be had.

Probably not worth it for a grand though.

    Thats my thinking Kev...........

But having the exhaust all done with the blower being added, seems a shame not too.........If my numbers come up its a defo!

i looked into this when i had my system built by MIJ, but after looking at the work involved and costs and time i decided that it wasnt worth it for what i would have gained.
