Shared this with the B6 guys, thought i'd share it with you lot.

Randomly looking for something 100% different.
    I came across this.
thought it might be interested to the avant members.

its a wiper that wipes the rear screen? am i missing something?

100% different would be to replace the arm with a dinner plate that doesnt wipe the screen at all but meerly turns 180 degrees and then back again at the touch of a switch.

I was looking for some thing that's got nothing to do with wipers and found that.

That rear wiper is different to the standard B5 unit.

Google glass grommet or search the forum. I got one one mine, I think it's in my build thread.

I like my rear wiper tooooooooooooooo much. Just received an absolute mint 8L0 955 711B unit from Ebay. Will fit tomorrow. A week's worth of driving (250 miles) and my rear screen is so dirty it looks like it's tinted... like a pimp mobile!

The wiper is upside down though lol?

I want a nicer looking one like that (and that actually works!) for my 8L S3, but my wiper sits on the left, not the right, can't find any that look nice that sit on the left apart from the Polo flat blade which I'm not to keen on..

I wonder if I can reverse the wiring lol?

Thats the issue with alot of them I think.
Might be able to do something with the motor internally to change the way it rests but not sure.

would be nice if you could simply swap the wires round and make it go left to right instead of right to left!

are there any left sitting wipers people have used?

    Not that I've seen.

You can't swap the wires over cause the motor is a little bit more complicated than that.

    I stripped one down.

Question is.. are the newer ones that sit on the right any different fitting wise. For god sake how hard is it to have a nicer newer rear wiper, and a washer that works!

    May just glass bung it
