nope, all it will do is reset it back to factory values, it will then re learn settings and driving style next time you run it.
Not unless you have the car running or ignition on at the time of unplugging it....no.

Ok thanks, does the battery need to be disconnected for removal?

Cool, the battery is flat anyway so i'll take it off to charge it then put it back on when ECU is reconnected
