Rear wheel width

Hi guys,

Does anybody know if I'd be able to fit 18" 9.5 or 9J wheels on the back of my B5 A4? They are ET45, and I'm just confirming with the seller whether they are 9.5J or 9J. The fronts are 8J ET42. Does anyone think there will be a problem with fitting these? It's lowered on coilovers so I can raise/lower it to suit the new wheels.

The B5 shell cant really take wheels much wider than 8J comfortably.

If you want to get into ridiculous stretched tyres and have your arches all pulled to hell then 9.5J's might go on, but it'll look pish.

Cheers for the advice I'll look at going 8J all round then, the wider rears was just an idea. The arches are much bigger than my G40 ones so wasn't sure how much girth they could take Not a fan of the stretched tyres look myself.

Yeh 8's fit nice.

8.5's will go, but you've got a very fine line with having the offset high enough to keep them from poking and low enough that they dont catch on the inner suspension gubbins.
