No real advantage i wouldnt think.
The actual designation is 0w-40 and 5w-40. The "w" part signifies the thickness of the oil when its cold, and the other number is its thickness when hot. So once warmed up both oils have the same 40 weight rating, when cold one is 0 and one is 5, so the 0 will be slightly thinner.
