Here's one I've just used on my 1.8TQS AJL engine may be same for yours. Genuine aswel had the same numbers of that printed on my old one.

Thanks but I was given these numbers to check;058 109 217B ; 058109217B. Can anyone confirm that these are for the APU engine??
Have a look at the back of the valve cover were the back 3 tensioner bolts are the part number is stamped on the tensioner you may need a bit of brake cleaner to clear the decade old crap off it lol !!!

On the old one it says T112B and the one I think is right for me is this on ebay;VW & AUDI 1.8T 1.8 CAM CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER | eBay.
It seems to list from 97 which would be AEB up to 00 which would mean APU i presume?? Although the pic is very slightly different to mine.
I'd say that the one I posted is for all A4 1.8T engines without VVT but I may be wrong.
