Seeing as arm rests never appear when i have the cash, im wondering if anybody has tried the aftermarket route like these eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

If so, how do they fit and look etc??? Any pics???

Can't comment on the quality, but it does look very similar in fit meant to the passat one I fitted to mine except the fabric is wrong

you cut a hole in the flat bit between the rear ash tray and hand break-

If you need it, I still have the pissrat centre console in the shed that I can measure to get the right cutout.

Cheers mate, just thinking out loud really, will consider it later when theres some retrimming on the inside to get done.

if its the same size fitting as the original then you probably wont need to measure it, becuase you will have to take the centre console out to fit and when you turn it over you will see that audi has stamped the outline into the plastic where it goes, so all you need to do is cut out the shape stamped.

well thats what ive found when i fitted armrests to mine and a friends car, so guess it will be the same across the range as mine is facelifft and my friends pre facelift.

otherwise i think still have a template that you could have, i made from a car that already had a genuine one fitted that i took out to put in mine, bacuse i dint knwo about the stamped shape at first.

Ive got an original OEM one mate, it has no lid though? got it with part of the double din centre console I bought from a guy breaking an s4, its still attached to the handbrake/ lighter and dooket section of the centre console if your interested? (only thing was the guy was tad heavy handed and the centre console is a bit cracked, bit the armrest is spot on),and your only down the road
