I have a small port APU head
been dipped, stripped, skimmed 20 thou for flatness,
fitted with new supertech valve guides (£150 worth!) and has new unused valve stem seals also.

I keep seeing whole engines going for silly money and could really do with getting some cash back from this.

Is £300 too much to ask or am wasting my time?

Does it have valves/springs etc?

I paid £100 for a brand new Audi recon cylinder head, with new cams and cam chain tensioner, but no cam chain and no valves fitted.

I never used it in the end, ended up just using the tensioner from it, so its just sat there in my spare room.

jesus! really that sounds cheap! how do they make money on that?

comes with all valves, retainers, cams, chain etc, even has a cam cover!

Shame its not a big port. People would tear your hand off!

Still...a new exchange head with cams from Audi is 1700 inc vat lol.

oh that makes me feel a bit better!

that does not sound right.
a cylinder head from audi should be in the region of £750 with nothing in it.
can i have the dealers number so i can get a couple off them??

An APU head with nothing in it from main dealer isnt exchange and its £1589.33 inc vat

It wasnt from a dealer, it was from ebay.

Was a standard 7 day auction with a £99 start.

I stuck £150 on it and expected to get beat, and won it for £102 or so.

so is £300 a fare price for a recon head with all parts?
