Cup holder alternative

My cup holder broke on the weekend but since I hardly ever use it I'm after something I can put it in its slot.

All I've seen there was possible 3 more switches or the card harder.

Is that the only options?

I've got my old '97 A8 cup holder down in the centre console rear cubby area. Fits perfectly.
