    Rear wheel sqeak B5 A4/S4 1.8T Quattro Sport 1999

I was out in the quattro last night, on leaving the petrol station and driving down the road a few yards, a loud sqeaking or sqealing started from what sounded like the left rear wheel, after about another few yards it stopped and was quiet from then on, I am hoping it was maybe a stray stone that got trapped in the brake disc guard, as it did sound very "tinny" keeping a close eye on things at the moment - does anyone have any suggestions if this could be a sign of either a wheel bearing going or the ABS sensor ? No fault code showed during the noise on the DIS system.

Brake pads seem fine - approx. 6 or 7 mm of thickness, handbrake was fully off as far as I can remember, caliper could have been slightly stuck on, but the noise has not happened again yet !!
