    Shocks

    OK. Im on a bit of a tight budget... Just took delivery of a set of 40 mm apex lowering springs for my 98 s4 avant.. Instead of just bunking them in, in gonna do sports shocks and front anti roll bar to tighten the whole car up...
    Will this tighten it up? 130k genuine miles..
    Can anyone recommend a decently priced set of shoks and anti-roll bar?
    Coilovers aint an option as ive got the springs already..
    Has anyone ran this type of set up? Any advice would be great.

    Bilstein B8 dampers are well respected. They also do a complete kit with Eibach springs called the B12 Pro-kit. PW Motorsport was doing a deal on the B12 prokit for £550 iirc, and this is probably your best option. Then either return the Apex springs or sell them on.

    Leave the front ARB alone, it will only make the car understeer more. A Neuspeed 19mm rear bar is a good option however and will help to reduce understeer.

    Ive heard the fronts are a pig to do... Any truth in this?

    Front dampers? Pretty easy unless the pinch bolt is siezed!
