Blue/White smoke on startup

Hi as title really, started it up this morning with a nice cloud of smoke.

It's a 97 aeb, could it be turbo seals?

could be, i used to get this in the mornings and if i did a quick pull off from the lights at night with another car behind me, i would see the smoke in the headlight beam behind me, when i took the turbo off there was a fair bit of play in the shaft

Does it give one puff or does it go on for a while. One big puff of white could be a lazy starter motor.

It went on for about 5 minutes, since then though it hasn't done it again.
