I have`nt checked this forum for a while but I remember seeing a few posts last time about a few people having a problem with the car`s revs when pulling up

I bought a new battery a few mths ago and my idle has been all over the place ever since. Its only when I pull up to stop. It will totally drop to about 500rpm but never stall then bounce around and level out to the normal 900rpm... quite annoying

I recently started a new job at Audi Listers and one of the first things I did was have a chat to the top technician!
He suggested a few things, firstly try running some optimax thru the fuel or, Redex. We also sprayed some WD40 around and into the throttle bodies, the problem was cleared almost instantly

I would also add:

Fixed this on my wifes Megane with some fuel system cleaner - lot's of short
journeys is VERY bad.

I would recommend:
Fuel system cleaner
Clean throttle body and intake tract (carb cleaner).
Change plugs.
Change air filter.
Check MAF.
Replace PCV breather.

If this doesn't fix it, check: that you have no leaks in the intake system,
injectors are ok, compression test ok.
