Found a flap, confused???

In the Audi, not me by the way!

Anyway, its located up at the front of the interior lights, right at the top centre of the windscreen, it pulls down and theres a very small hole facing out towards the window when in this position, is it a sensor of some sort? What is it for?

Cant believe ive had this over 2yrs and still finding bits to play with!

I think its a small sun visor,not sure about the hole though.

It is a mini sun screen to 'stop' the sun comming through above the centre mirror. Nice feature - Yes, Does it work - No

Thats it Scott, mine has a pin size hole on the other side if you flip it down with the part number right beside it!

Bit pointless really then, but good to know, cheers lads!

I thought it a automatic man thing to hunt round cars for buttons, pockets, flaps, switches and cubby holes?

I only found i had the same flap on my mk4 Golf a couple of days ago !!

I think its more of an OLDER man thing, i only ever bothered with a steering wheel, accelerator and handbrake for years!

weird, had my car just over 2 years now and only noticed the very same flap a couple of weeks ago too!
