As per title really, after reading a couple of threads on retro-fitting cruise control i'm quite inerested in doing the job. I can't find a throttle valve or cables anywhere so I'm guessing it's dbw.

Thanks in advance, Andy.

electronic power control AKA DBW. No throttle cable, the light is there to display a possible fault should the DBW and assosiated mech stop working?

I'm told another way to find out is; while stationary and in neutral put a few thousand revs on, then simultaneously press the brake pedal. If the revs fall by themselves then the car is DBW. This is apparently a safety feature in case of a stuck throttle pedal.

Thanks for the info lads much appreciated. I guess the retrofit of cruise should be fairly straight forward then, just a new stalk and a bit of wiring. I'll look in to it a bit more now i know the car is dbw.

Cheers, Andy.
