Guys,

Getting the plugs out of my V6 is a right 'mare!! I have a long spark plug tube that reacehs down nicely but its slightly too fat and therefore catches in the deep hole. I can't feel if the plugs are nicely seated and tight or not.

So, I went and bought one of these: 1746 LASER TOOLS Spark Plug Spanner - 300mm x 10/14mm | eBay

And it's exactly the same thing when trying remove or fit the plugs.

So what tool do you guys use to reach in nice and deep to grab the plugs with??

Cheers.

Ive used two 1/4'' drive extension before now and placed the top of the Plug in the 1/4" drive (female ratchet side) and apply pressure to the side and slide the plug up the deep **** hole. Have done this on the 1.8t aswel as there deep **** holes on them aswel.

Don't need a socket to take them out a 3/8" spark plug socket should do but my socket has lost the rubber insert that grips the plug so I use a 1/4" drive extension and place the top of the spark plug in the 'square' 1/4" insert of the extension the bit where your ratchet goes then apply pressure to the side and it will hold the plug just so you can slide it out !

Hi I use a length of hose pipe to pull the plugs out
When I put the plugs back I do the same you can use
the hose to start turning the plug finger tight then pull the hose off.
Hope this helps
