Is this the part I will need to finally stop my car running rough

Hi all just one more question hopefully!! My car has a really bad idle problem and juddering when driving sometimes and when I've mentioned this before people have been very helpfull and suggested loads of things to try like iacv, blocked hoses blocked cats ect and a couple of people have mentioned the coolant temp sensor so was wondered if this is the correct one for my car 059919501A AUDI A3 A4 A6 A8 COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR | eBay , the cars a 2.6 v6 quattro, I know my cars listed but just want to double check with the experts lol. Also if this part has failed on my car why is it affecting the idle, what exactly does this do. Thanks again all

i think this is the later D shaped one, not a square one. What age is your car?

Hi mate thanks for the quick reply my motors a p reg late 1996 which it says it fits but I never trust these ebayers, why would this part help the car idle better that's what I don't understand aswell,

I would imagine yours to be square like this, the d shape tends to be facelifty. That earlier listing lies.
