vp44 pump info needed please

Hi
I have a vp44 pump for my 2.5tdi but has no pulley on it.
Could some body please tell me how to set the pump up
to TDC so that i can fit the pulley.
At the moment i have tried it at the 12 oclock position
but no start.

You need to get it to a diesel specialist if you took the pulley off, there is no woodruf key to set the pulley at tdc so you're stuffed in that respect ! You could get a non working pump off ebay and mark the pulley in respect to the pump shaft so you can get the TDC reference mark but that'd not accurate !
