Cambelt change 2.8Q 30v

I've been quoted approx £270 to replace the cambelt on my car (2.8Q) does that sound about right?

The garage that gave me that quote (Adanced -auto repair in Christchurch, Dorset) have carried out other major work on my car and seem to be very good. They came highly recommended as a German car specialist but I don't know who involved a cambelt change is on the 2.8 V6 engine!

jeff (jdp1962 ) has a 2.8 V6 and recently had his cam-belt done. Theres a post somewhere talking through it. Try searching for that. I had mine done a couple of weeks ago but have a 1.8T.

Sound ok but I would say you would need to change the pump and the temp switch at the same time. Recomended as if they pack in the cambelt as to come off again so best to do it now.
