Looking for a little bit of guidance.

Because i'm rubbish at wiring i'd like a bit of advice narrowing down a wiper fault.

Symptoms:
Wiper stops it's sweep wherever you let go of the stalk on the down (sweep once) setting or if your using the front wash wipe cycle.

wiper stalk has been replaced with a 2nd hand unit - no difference

i replaced the intermittent wiper relay with a vw relay 99 - didn't work right on the car but the fault was still there.

rear wiper still not working despite working motor fitted. Not too worried about this as the car passed it's mot last week first time with no issue! Strangely, when the front wiper fuse blew the rear started working.

Do you think this is likely to be a wiring or a motor issue?

Thanks in advance

No wiper whizz kids in the house?

Have you removed the front wiper unit and check it over, they have a habit of seizing also check the wiring harness going to the motor.

Sounds like the park switch in the motor has failed.

Its used by both intermittent wipe and to park the wipers when you turn them off.

Is it an integral part of the motor like the rear (that can be cleaned)?
