Dv for 2.5 tdi

What options are there available for fitting a dump valve to my 2000 plate 2.5 tdi.

To be honest I wouldn't bother, it's not going to do anything to benifit the car because it's a diesel so would have to be controlled electronicaly.

i have a peugeot 207 diesel...

i fitted a BMC CDA cold air induction kit to it, i get some great turbo noises from it!

chatters too! lol

Diesels dont have a throttle plate, so there is never any excess pressure to dump anyway.

No point at all on a DERV, it's on a par with fire alarm snooze buttons and chocolate fire guards for usefullness

How you mounted that up as the airbox sits on the top of the engine with little space presume it's a 1.6 hdi dv6 90/110bhp ?

So the general consensus is dont bother. Lol fair enough just love the dump valve noise

If you put a cone filter on it you will hear the turbo spooling up better.

But will it not then suffer from heat soak? As i thought colder air is better then warm

Not really, once your moving the bay will stay pretty cool.

My cone filter gave me 1bhopal over the standard airbus. LoL. That sort of difference can be down to almost anything.

I did put one on my 1.9tdi for about 30minutes, was to loud with it on and not a nice loud so standard filter went back on, strange though because I used to have a 1.9tdi 110 Bora and that sounded pretty nice with the cone filter on it and from what I know they are the same engine.
