needed urgent.camshaft cap,2.5 tdi

hi
does any body have a camshaft bearing cap laying about.
Its the one that holds the front oil seal behind the cam/pump pulley.

Have you got a pic? I might have something similar on my petrol V6 heads? They are off to scrap man on sat........

you cant really just swap a cap...

The cam bearings are line bored with the caps torqued down. A cap from a different engine wont be the same as the one on your engine.

I have not got a pictureas it is still fitted.
Its the bearing that hols the cam and oil seal at the front of the head.
It has a bit sticking up from the top with a threaded hole in.
The bit tha is broken on mine is the part that holds the oil seal,i was going to weld
A bit off the replacement to it.
