my car is intermitently losing power and what feels like missing in very specific situations

always in low gear, low revs, low speed, high load situations with WOT. i.e. before the turbo kicks in.
goes away as soon as you lift off.

sounds like it is missing on at least 1 cylinder if not two and resembles a low grumbly fart!

havent plugged the laptop in as yet but I can only think it can be coil packs or similar.

other than that it runs really well, stumbled across an awesome B road in Dumfries and Galloway yesterday that resembles a section of the NZ WRC stages! quick flowing cambered corners, see for miles. but anyway, I digress.

any ideas!?

why just high load low revs and not any other situation though?
they only do what they are told to do and if they were too hot or oiled up it would be continuous.

will do a scan when I get a chance

Plugs can just break down under certain conditions. Mine would splutter as it came on boost but would then clear and pull to the limiter. New plugs solved the problem and that was 2 years ago and three sets of plugs without it returning
