Project "Pinky", couple of teething problems.??

Project Pinky is finally alive and in use. Couple of really annoying teething problems which I could do with some suggestions on.

1. Speed isn't working.
2. Bottom Rad hose keeps popping free and leaking.

Only other issues are the alignment is out and it needs some dash bulbs.

Mate has been busy though and he's already got a front mount on it.

1. Use Vagcom to check whether it's the instrument cluster or the crank speed sensor.
2. Use a better hose clip!

the rad hoses use a plastic fitting with a wire retainer, either the wire is missing, or your not pushing it on far enough to lock the wire into the groove on the rad.

Speedo drive is on the gearbox, near/above the nearside driveshaft flange.

Cheers, water hose sorted, small drop of silicone lube and the hose went on far enough. Bit too much crud on the ting so the locking wire wasn't going into it's proper position.

Speedo drive must have got damaged when we did the engine swap.

Sounds really sweet and healthy though
