Help REMOVING Blow off valves

Hello:

I picked up 2000 s4 and it has a pair of HKS BOV's. I dont like what I have read about them, and I was wondering if someone could tell me how to take them off and what to replace them with. Any help would be appreciated. There is some smoking when shifting gears its running very rich. It has new turbos so I ruled that out.

If you follow the intake pipe from the air box you will soon stumble accross them as soon as you see them you will know what they are.
