    Rear suspension bits

Picking up a lowering kit on Friday and will be fitting it soon, just having a look through the Haynes Manual and it says when you change the rear suspension your should replace a gasket that goes onto the strut upper mounting.

Has anyone got a link where I can get these online? Also going to replace the rear lower mounting bolts, again any help where I can get these? It then also says to replace the upper mounting bolts????? Should I? Can't see them being in bad condition.

    Thanks

Bolts like that are typically dealer only. I'd just reuse it.

Do you think a VW garage would be able to help me get these bits? Got no Audi garage near here, nearest one is like 50mile away.

I get most of my parts from VW.
They wont sell me any Skoda parts or do any servicing work though

Reuse them, unless they damage or the heads are rounded off.

yeah vw will supply no problems.
i don't know what year yours is but mine had elongated bushes at the bottom of the strut so i had to cut a section of the bush to pack it out.

VW will only sell you it if its also used on a VW model.

IE if the bolt is ONLY used on an Audi model, then the VW garage wont be able to order it.

I've had this a few times, went in with a list of random bits and bobs, most of it was fine as the engine/transmission/front suspension is all shared with the passat, but the rear end is pretty specific to the A4, and the caliper bolts werent available to him, and i had to order them from preston audi.

I buy most of my bits from VW too, right next door to Parth Audi, but when you can save on a battery Audi 82Ah @ 117+vat against VW 85Ah @75+vat, the only difference being a sticker and an extra 3Ah.
Just bought new brake hoses at VW last week.
Perth VW will supply Skoda parts too now, there is a Skoda dealer 10 miles form Perth tho
