Just bought a A4 Quattro avant B5 but the stereo isn't working, there seems to be no power. I've check the fuses and even tried to plug an after market stereo in but that didn't turn on either. The CD changer in the boot has power as you can hear it when the ignition comes on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kenny.

Sounds like you have perm live but no "ignition on" live. I'm assuming you have a facelift A4? Audi don't wire in an ignition on live on the later A4's, so you either need to wire one in from the fusebox or just splice the ignition feed (red wire) to the perm live (yellow) and switch the HU on/off manually.

Mine was the same, youve just got a permanent feed. You can take a feed from (i think) fuse 15.

Yeah mines prefacelift. Double check on that fuse 15, thats only from memory :D

Cheers pjw turns out the audi stereo is just knackered got my kenwood one working in there, just got to get the audi one fixed now.
