Gearbox change

I've managed to source a second hand box for my 2.5tdi, apart from a new clutch what other jobs are worth doing while I'm taking the box out?

It's a facelifted 2wd by the way.

Change the oil in the box too, thats about it tbh.

Check the needle bearing in the end of the flywheel and replace if necessary and also check the flywheel for play...

I take it the needle bearing doesn't come in a clutch kit?

Any advice on where to get one? The car has done over 190K now so I might as well change it while the box is off.

Try the dealer...or ECP but when there is soo much labour involved i would allways go for the genuine part !
