    power steering fluid

    I have an Audi S4 B5 I need to top up my power steering reservoir,I have been given D11 and D111,not sure which one to use. Regards Stranksy.

    get actual VAG branded steering fluid mate, its not dear, and no one makes a compatible one afaik. Use of any other fluid type rots the seals and a rack is a real pig of a job on the A4.

    Been there, done that lol
    B4 TDI - old skool project / daily driver...if it ain't broke, it's probably an Audi...

    np mate, I got a bottle of genuine stuff from star performance in fife and was only 8 for a litre I think.

    The stuff from the dealer is Pentosyn CHF 11S.

    Most factors stock CHF11S.

    Dont use D2 or D3 or you WILL break the rack.

    Just backing up the threads above, ensure you get the correct fluid (just call Audi if unsure, very inexpensive) - a lot of people get the wrong fluid and the steering rack seals will bugger up and it will become a big noisy problem!!

    Yes, any VAG dealer 8 a litre, think it is the cheapest thing they sell!
